LYNDA CHIOMA ONWUKA -QUEEN CULTURE NIGERIA 2011 -PRESENTATION AT THE BRITISH COUNCIL ACCRA GHANA
QUEEN CULTURE NIGERIA ATTAINS THE 4TH
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON AFRICAN CULTURE AND DEVELOPMENT (ICACD) 2011 AT THE
BRITISH COUNCIL IN ACCRA-GHANA.
Sequel to the promotion of our cultural heritage; QUEEN CULTURE NIGERIA
2011/2012; ONWUKA LYNDA CHIOMA, hails from agulu in anambra state, a 400l
student of micheal okpara university of agriculture umudike spine on the need
for global security. She went into niceties in her speech at the international
conference on CULTURE AND GLOBAL SECURITY by indicating the vital things that
will reinstate our cultural heritage and also certify global security at
large.
One of the mainstream on her speech is the concept that challenges the
belief by HERZ 1950; in quote, ‘NO COUNTRY CAN CLAIM OR ACHIEVE SECURITY
THROUGH ITS OWN EFFORT ALONE” hence, there is need to be dependent on one
another to achieve this global security. Our problems lies in the weakness of
our ‘‘security enforcement agencies’’ because they abdicate in their duties;
she suggested that our leaders should stand up and take charge of the activities
run in the society and in turn, reduce crime and corruption. The queen
encouraged the organisers of ICACD for inverting such a forum where folks come
from diverse part of the world to share ideas and entertain themselves on
cultural activities and propose that Nigerians should emulate initiatives that
will uphold our cultural heritage and hearten tourism thus increasing the
economic growth of the nation. We all should have a motivated frame of mind
that our country is blessed with milk and honey, lets harness this golden
opportunity we have and make Nigeria a better home to
live.
Imagine a better Nigeria as we endorse our artistic birthright, our true
uniqueness by making Nigeria the colourful nation it used to be.
