According
to the producer and image-maker, Zelly MIGHTY disclosed that the brand
is in line with a strategic objective to sustain unity, advocate locally
and internationally for appropriate and resourced creativity, culture
and tourism policies in developing countries and communities round the
globe.
Furthermore,
he stressed that Nigeria as the most populous country in the whole of
Africa has an immense rich cultural heritage, adding that as a country,
Nigeria is blessed with diverse culture with natural vegetation, good
weather condition, land mass and potential tourist sites.
However,
in the past, he recalled that Nigeria did not realize nor take tourism
as an important economic mainstay as compared to some developed nations
of the world where tourism serves as a major income earner.
Consequently,
he stated that through the event, they will be showcasing to the world
the rich and unique culture; the rich human resources and the Government
policies that can boost investment in Nigeria. “Miss Unity
beauty pageant was established as a common platform to promote culture
and tourism, global security and national unity and to drive economic
growth and development”.
On
her pet project, Sharon Nmezi the newly emerged Miss Unity Nigeria 2011
added that her Pet-Project will benefit everyone, and to the prospect
of developing a mutual working and rewarding relationship with the
people.
“As
a Unity Ambassador, I have articulated my professional motivation and
logic for pursuing a vision through innovative projects like “Unity
Carnival”. I believe that we need to give people of every race, cultural
and socio-economic background the equal access to opportunity, and to
grow with an orientation; also we will promote the need for unity and
culture value,” she disclosed.
Also
headlined for the coronation party that will hold on 8th September,
2012 at Allseasons Hotel, Owerri, are the contests for the Runway Queen
2012, Face of KFC 2012 and Fashion Queen 2012, also with musical
performances and magazine launch.
